Hailuo suits creators who want good motion without paying premium prices. Social video makers, small brands testing ad ideas and anime or stylized creators get the most out of it.

However, it suits teams with strict data rules less well. Reviewers point out that MiniMax processes and stores data in China, which some companies cannot accept.

That matters because many guides still promise Hailuo AI free credits every day. Hailuo used to add daily bonus credits, and its billing screen still has a line for them, yet the current plan table lists none. New accounts in the MiniMax Design app are still offered a 3,000 credit welcome bonus. However, free output carries a watermark, and free accounts run one task at a time.
