The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 is the second generation of the best-selling smart glasses on the planet — launched at Meta Connect 2025, starting at $379. The recipe is unchanged but sharpened: a 12MP ultra-wide camera, open-ear speakers, five microphones and Meta AI, packed into classic Ray-Ban silhouettes.

Two upgrades define this generation. Battery life roughly doubles to about 8 hours of typical use, and video capture jumps to 3K Ultra HD. Neither sounds revolutionary on paper; together, they fix the two complaints that actually mattered with Gen 1.

This is still the category’s trump card. With four classic silhouettes and more than 150 frame-and-lens combinations — prescription options included — the Gen 2 passes as ordinary eyewear in a way no competitor manages.
